History:
A vaguely-humanoid, spacefaring race whose only recorded contacts with Starfleet have thus far been less than favourable, although it is unlikely that all Retellians are corrupt. Firek Plinn and Firek Goff were Retellian traders encountered by Enterprise in 2152. They claimed to be transporting a passenger in suspended animation and requested help in repairing her stasis pod. When the young woman was inadvertently wakened however, it transpired that she was Kaitaama, the Kriosian sovereign, and a hostage on Goff's vessel. The Retellians intended to hold her for ransom. Kaitamma and Tucker fled in an escape pod and crashed on a marsh planet where Goff hunted them down. Archer interrogated Plinn claiming that T'Pol would ruthlessly sentence him to death without the benefit of a tribunal if he refused to cooperate. Plinn caved in and helped Enterprise trace Goff's warp signature to rescue the fugitives.
