A highly territorial civilization native to the Delta Quadrant. The Swarm employed neuroelectric weaopons and thousands of small ships in swarmlike formations. They used sensor nets employing interlaced tachyon beams to monitor their borders. The universal translator aboard the Voyager had great difficulty in tranlating the language used by the Swarm.
